Dave Solzberg is a professional upright and electric bassist located in Colorado’s Front Range.
With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, Dave is currently the bassist for Colorado’s powerhouse salsa band Quemando, as well as the Boulder-based bluegrass/Americana group 300 Days and Gilpin County’s (in)famous roots bluegrass “house band,” the NoGo Gilbillies. From 2007-2014, he was bassist for the internationally acclaimed, touring Denver-based soul/rock group, Fox Street All Stars.
Dave has shared the stage with Vince Herman (Leftover Salmon), Yonder Mountain String Band, Robert Randolph, and Derek Trucks, among many other greats. He holds a Masters in Music Performance from the University of Denver, with a specialty in jazz, and has taught music performance, history, theory, and production at the high-school level in Boulder, Colorado schools since 2006. Since 1992, he has also taught private electric and upright bass lessons, as well as band coaching sessions, for students of all ages and abilities.
